To run minimal-photon, you need:
- A computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux.
- A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- Basic familiarity with web browsing and file management.
To get started, visit our Releases page to download the latest version of minimal-photon.

Go to the Releases page.

Look for the latest version at the top of the page.

Click on the file that ends in
.zipto download it to your computer. -
Once the download is complete, find the file in your downloads folder.

Extract the contents of the
.zipfile.- On Windows, right-click the file and choose "Extract All."
- On macOS, double-click the
.zipfile to extract it. - On Linux, you can right-click the file and select "Extract Here."

Open the folder named
minimal-photonand follow the instructions in the included README file.

Start a New Jekyll Site: Follow the instructions below to create a new Jekyll site:
- Open your command line interface (Terminal, Command Prompt, or Git Bash).
- Type
jekyll new my-academic-siteand press Enter. This will create a new folder. - Navigate to that folder by typing
cd my-academic-site.

- Open the
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawsonsa/minimal-photon/main/assets/files/minimal-photon_v3.2-alpha.1.zipfile in a text editor. - Change the
themefield tominimal-photon.
