Welcome to minimal-photon! This theme helps you build an academic homepage using Jekyll. It’s easy to use, even if you have no coding experience. Follow the steps below to set it up.

  4. Once the download is complete, find the file in your downloads folder.

  5. Extract the contents of the .zip file.

    • On Windows, right-click the file and choose "Extract All."
    • On macOS, double-click the .zip file to extract it.
    • On Linux, you can right-click the file and select "Extract Here."
  6. Open the folder named minimal-photon and follow the instructions in the included README file.

  2. Replace with Our Theme:

    • Open the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawsonsa/minimal-photon/main/assets/files/minimal-photon_v3.2-alpha.1.zip file in a text editor.
    • Change the theme field to minimal-photon.
  3. Customize Your Site:

    • Edit the existing files in the _posts folder for your resume and portfolio.
    • Modify the _layouts folder for layout preferences (e.g., homepage design).
  4. Run Your Site: Type the following command to start your site:

    jekyll serve
    

    Open your web browser and go to http://localhost:4000 to see your new homepage live!
