Summary of Changes

Hello @hiworldwzj, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses a minor but critical logical flaw in the tensor allocation mechanism within the quantization module. The fix ensures that the correct tensor initialization path is taken based on whether a custom tensor manager is being utilized, preventing potential runtime issues or incorrect resource management by aligning the else block with its intended if statement.

Highlights

  • Tensor Allocation Logic: Corrected the conditional logic for tensor allocation in no_quant.py to ensure torch.empty is called only when use_custom_tensor_mananger is false, fixing an indentation error.

Code Review

This pull request corrects a bug in the apply method of the NoQuantization class. An incorrect indentation of an else statement led to faulty logic for allocating the output tensor. Specifically, it could either overwrite an existing output tensor or fail to create a new one when required. The fix adjusts the indentation, correctly placing the else block to ensure proper tensor allocation. This change is correct and improves the code's reliability. No other issues were found.
