Medium Helper is a lightweight Chrome extension that improves the reading experience on Medium by automatically handling member-only article pages.
This is an independent, community-supported project.
- Detects Medium articles restricted by a membership prompt
- Automatically processes and displays the full article view
- Runs silently in the background
- Shows a small status message when processing is complete
No buttons. No configuration.
When you visit a restricted Medium article, the extension:
- Detects the membership restriction
- Automatically processes the page
- Replaces the limited preview
- Displays a confirmation message when done
- No personal data collected
- No tracking or analytics
- No ads
- No login or cookies stored
The extension only runs on Medium article pages.
