Localized 'On' and 'Off' buttons

I am referring to the On/Off buttons in the menu: menu_on.png

Is it possible to make them locale depending or without text?

For example when the language is set to German the button should read 'An' or 'Aus'. In my opinion the text on the button could also completely removed

Removing the text is bad for color blind people.
Localization for the text is difficult because this needs to be done in enigma and not in the skin.

Well, color blind people should not use the graphic version at all.
Maybe a different design would catch the problem?

The colors are taken from the original. I haven't checked if they are equal to the red/green menu buttons. The color is square (42x42) and the font used is Source Sans Pro Bold.

If they are OK i can provide downsized versions for HD and FHD too

Sorry, but I can't read German so I am unsure about what was said in the German posts.

I understand the issue being posed by @MegaV0lt regarding the use of English text in the images, and agree with it. My suggestion would be to go with an ISO icon that might more readily be associated with power control.

An appropriate combination of "On" and "Off" icons that do not rely on colour to convey the state of the switch would be preferred.

I think that the graphical switches are a bad mistake and should not be used. They very poorly represent all the Boolean options available in Enigma2! Given that I seem to be in a minority on this point I will suggest that ticks and crosses are a very bad UI element to represent "On" and "Off". If a graphical option must be made then please consider my suggestion above.

The issue with English text in the image was raised by @MegaV0lt.
The issue with colour was raised by @jbleyel.

A complaint was raised against the use of English text, I can support its removal. I am also happy to support the removal of colour if it improves the accessibility for visually impaired users. If colours are deemed to be required then the colours chosen should be selected to minimise identification issues for the largest set of users as possible. The importance of being meaningful is much higher than the importance of the symbol or colour.

As for the use of ticks and crosses, this is an area that I feel very strongly. We are dealing with a UI element that nominates that a value is "True" or "False", "On" or "Off". This is NOT a selection of Correct or Incorrect. Using ticks and crosses sends the wrong message to users. Their choice is not one for right or wrong!

Let me repeat that I think using a graphical image to represent the Boolean states should never have been adopted. It is visually jarring in the context of a Setup based screens and does not suit all the textural Boolean states being represented.
