AdapterJS: Remove Knex and make linter work

Currently the library `knex` is in use for the database access leading to many `any` typed code. 
Goal: replace `knex` with our own postgres library to make it consistent with the rest of our microservices. Most linter errors should resolve naturally from this step (hopefully).
