Short Summary of the expected behavior:
I was thinking I understood that firmware version was going to some how start incrementing when we did pull request merges.
Short Summary of the buggy behavior:
I still find that I am setting the version manually in the pre_extra_script.py file.
I even see that I have manages to push into main, I know not when, a version I was using during testing of code from a merge request.
